Passport Form Download

( To Save the Form ‘Right Click’ on the downloaded Form and click on ‘Save As’. Save the Form on your computer then fill the Form. To Print, please select Option ‘NONE’ on ‘Page Scaling’ or ‘ACTUAL SIZE’, then Print the completed Form)

Passport Renewal

Processing time: 5-8 weeks

Required Documents

· Two copies of the completed and printed application form.

· Original and copy of current passport

· A photocopy of citizenship certificate

· Police Report (In case of lost passport)

· Total 4 pp size photographs (borderless, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm)

Passport Fee: 600 RMB

(In case of lost/damaged passport, the fee is RMB 1,200.00)

Passport for infants

Passports for infants (under 5 years) (Processing time: 5-8 weeks)

Required Documents

· Two copies of the completed and printed application form.

· An application specifying of its need from parents

· Birth registration certificate (having parents’ name) (Original + Photocopy)

· Passport of the father AND mother of the child (Original + Photocopy)

· Copy of Nepalese Citizenship Certificate of the father AND mother of the child

· Marriage registration certificate of the father AND mother of the child (Original + Photocopy)

· Total 4 pp size photographs (borderless, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm)

Passport Fee: RMB 300.00

Note: The MRP of Infants shall be valid for 5 years only


Temporary Passport:

If the valid period of a passport of a Nepalese passport holder residing abroad has been expired, lost or destroyed or became useless because of being rag and he/she has submitted an application to make a new passport then a provisional passport may be issued to him/her till the machine readable passport has been issued. Also the Embassy issues temporary passport for newborn, who is child of Nepali father or Nepali legal guardian.

Required Documents:

Duly filled in application form (one copy)

Original citizenship and its copy and copy of old passport (applicant must submit original passport if it has been damaged)

If the applicant is newborn, Minor Identity Certificate issued by the concerned District Administration Office, together with citizenship certificate of both parents or father or legal guardian, and Marriage Registration Certificate

Three copies of MRP size photo

Police report (If the Passport is lost)

Fee: RMB 150.00


Travel Document

Travel Document may be issued in the following situation:–

If an application has been submitted to this Embassy, after completing the necessary process required to receive a passport along with the reason and evidence of being unable to return to Nepal due to the reason of being either lost or damage of the passport.

If in case of Nepali citizen living in Mongolia or DPRK, if his/her family member has submitted an application to this Embassy, after completing the process required to be followed to receive the passport along with the letter of the concerned District Development Office made on the basis of recommendation of concerned Village Development Committee or Municipality.

If a Nepali woman married to foreigner submits application for a travel document for her child for the purpose of visiting Nepal, in such a case Embassy will issue one-way travel document for that child.

Required Documents:

1.Duly filled in application form (one copy)

2.Nepalese Citizenship Certificate (Original and a copy) and copy of old passport

3.Three copies of MRP size photo

4.Police report ( If the Passport is lost)

5.In case of child born from Nepali woman married to a foreign national, applicant’s mother should submit her original citizenship and its copy and birth registration certificate of child.

Fee: RMB 300.00

Note:

  1. The applicant/s can send the required documents by post (Postal charges is to be borne by the applicant/s).
  2. When the Passport/TD is ready, the applicant/s will be notified. Once the Embassy receives the delivery address from the applicant/s, the Passport/TD will be sent to the applicant/s by post (Postal charge is to be borne by the applicant/s)
  3. The Passport/TD fee can be transferred to the Embassy’s A/c maintained in Bank of China (Bank detail will be provided upon request). The Embassy may also choose to pay the required fee in cash.
