With the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China, the 2017 International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum (IICCF) and the 9th China Overseas Investment Fair (COIFAIR) will be held at China National Convention Center in Beijing on Nov. 21st – 22nd 2017.
As the premier event covering the subject of Chinese outbound investment, COIFAIR consists of exhibitions, investment seminars, project promotion and specialized meetings to attract enterprises, financial institutions, service providers, government departments, international organizations, business associations, research institutions and other entities. It brings together capital, projects, information, experts, services and other key elements from different countries and offers various investment opportunities and cooperation prospects. It is the most ideal platform for Chinese enterprises planning to go abroad and also for foreign entities intending to attract Chinese investments, as well as a professional platform on which all participants may develop international bilateral and multilateral investment cooperation.
The 1st International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum and the 8th China Overseas Investment Fair was successfully held in Beijing on October 2016. Mr. Wang Yang, Vice Premier of the State Council, and Mr. Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Mr. Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission and Commissioner of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, also gave a keynote speech. Over fifty countries and entities, from both the public and private sectors, set up booths during the fair, which included 16 sub-forums and 6 country promotion seminars. The fair attracted nearly 8000 visitors, more than 280 specialists who delivered speeches, and was reported by over 160 media at home and abroad.
The 9th COIFAIR will be themed “Improve International Capacity Cooperation and Boost ‘the Belt and Road’ Construction”, highlighting China’s “Going Global” and “the Belt and Road” strategic initiatives. Government officials from state level ministries and commissions as distinguished guests will be invited to brief the participants about China’s latest overseas investment policies and the economic trends. All participants may gather together in the Fair to fully interact and exchange among themselves to reach substantive investment cooperation. Not only will the event pave the way for Chinese enterprises to realize their “going-abroad” strategy, COIFAIR will improve cooperation of production capacity with countries and regions involved in the “the Belt and Road” initiative and boost global economic growth.
