A New Year celebration was organized at the Embassy of Nepal, Beijing this evening to mark the advent of the Nepali New Year 2075 BS with the exchange of greetings and a cultural program.

The program featured performances by Nepali and Chinese students of various universities of China, depicting the traditional culture of Nepal.

The event brought together around 600 participants from Beijing and other parts of China, including students, professionals, businessmen and visitors from Nepal, as well as Chinese citizens from various walks of life.

Welcoming the guests, Ambassador of Nepal to China H.E. Leela Mani Paudyal extended his greetings and best wishes on the occasion of the Nepali New Year.

He also expressed his thanks to the Nepali community for supporting the event, and helping promote Nepali culture in China through participation in various platforms, particularly in universities and during expos.

The Ambassador said that the program was organized with a view to promoting greater appreciation and understanding of Nepali culture in China, and that the people-to-people ties between the two countries would be strengthened further in the days to come with such collective initiatives.

Guest of Honor Mr. Chen Zhimin, President of China Association for Friendship, and Committee Member of the 13th CPPCC, extended his greetings on the occasion of the Nepali New Year.

At the close of the program, Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Sushil K Lamsal thanked the artists, volunteers and students for their contributions in making the program a success, and all participants for their support and active participation.
